Kenmare Veterinary Centre and Animal Welfare: One of the founding principles of Kenmare Veterinary Centre, and an ethos shared by all members of staff is a dedication to animal welfare in our locality. One of our core principles in this regard is a commitment to education of owners as one of the most effective tolls in the improvement of animal welfare. To this end we regularly visit local schools to give talks about the basics of animal care. By having fun in the classroom and using our interactive resources we feel the children really enjoy the visits and it helps open their minds to the importance of the welfare of animals. If you are interested in a visit to your organisiation school or club by our education team please contact us at [email protected] At Kenmare Veterinary Centre we work closely with national and international animal welfare charities such as the dogs trust and the RSPCA. We also provide veterinary attention to many of the animals that come under the care of KLAWS, a local welfare organistaion. From vaccination programmes to neutering, to emergency treatments and surgeries, we provide frontline veterinary services for the rescued and surrendered animals of our locality. If you feel you would like to support KLAWS in any way, from fostering animals, helping with fundraising or donating to their bric a brak shop, please contact them on the number below.
