Exciting News about Kenmare Vets!

Kenmare Veterinary Centre, was established by Henk and Joanna Offereins in 2005. Alongside a dedicated team of staff, and Loes and Ger Klaasen the centre was developed from scratch. Purpose built and to highest specifications Kenmare Veterinary Centre was, and is, the only registered pet and equine hospital in Kerry and West Cork. Through the years the clinic has developed into a well-established and recognised facility for everything to do with veterinary care.

Personal interest and ongoing education has meant that Henk Offereins developed strongly in the area of Veterinary Sport Medicine. This highly specialised area of veterinary medicine involves a lot of traveling and urgent consults. After long and carefully consideration Henk decided that it was in the best interest of both the local practice and the (inter) national performance clients to develop two separate and dedicated practices. Both these practices will operate from the Veterinary Centre in Kenmare and both practices will also build further on the fantastic team that made a Kenmare Veterinary Centre what it is today.

All Creatures Vet Centre, owned and run by Dr. Carina Mederle, MVDr, will cover the local equine, small and farm animal business. All Performance Veterinary Medicine, owned and run by Henk Offereins, DVM, MVSc, will focus on nationwide and international Sport Medicine. 12 years experience of working in the area will form the strong basis for these 2 new practices.

Sharing common motivations and attitudes towards animal welfare and veterinary medicine, Carina and Henk will still work closely together – for the benefit of our patients!

Our Facilities: 
In our purpose built centre you will find excellent facilities in our examination rooms, surgical theatres, in house laboratory and recovery rooms. All facilities are suitable for pets, horses and farm animals and include radiography, ultrasound, blood testing and a full microbiology service. There is also a large shop where you can buy a full range of Royal Canin food, diets, supplements, and supplies.
